0:04 [Anxo] [In Spanish]: My name is Anxo, I'm 33 years old, I live in Vigo. 0:07 [Anxo] [In Spanish]: I began working at Amazon in October of 2022. 0:14 [Aurora] [In Spanish]: When Anxo was born he had chromosomic issues, as it's called now Klinefelter syndrome. 0:22 [Rosa]: Then we start to work in an idea to include people with learning difficulty in Amazon with GC. 0:30 [Rosa]: This is the first time we are hiring people with Down Syndrome so this was a challenge for us. 0:36 [Christianne]: So, the first thing we did is to contact the NGO, Down Espa–a. 0:41 [Eva] [In Spanish]: It was through a partnership agreement from the Down Espa–a Federation with Amazon. 0:45 [Eva] [In Spanish]: It is a pilot project that was launched in multiple entities around Spain with the objective of incorporating people with Down Syndrome and intellectual disabilities into the company. 0:56 [Irene] [In Spanish]: When they gave me the big news that I was going to start working at Amazon, I started crying from the excitement and had to go into my mom's arms. 1:06 [Irene] [In Spanish]: It was the best day of my life! 1:10 [Rosa]: Currently we have 16 people with learning difficulty working in Amazon Logistics Spain. 1:18 [Christianne]: It had such an impact worldwide, we're asked to support this program in other countries. 1:25 [Irene] [In Spanish]: Well here, I feel very happy, and when I see my co-workers that makes my day. 1:30 [Anxo] [In Spanish]: Since I was very little I've gone with my parents to Celta, at 5 years old. 1:35 [Anxo] [In Spanish]: I played with Forzada, I played for 7. 1:37 [Anxo] [In Spanish]: I like to play a lot. 1:40 [Irene] [In Spanish]: In my free time, I'm dedicated to dancing, singing, to reading books since I love reading. 1:46 [Irene] [In Spanish]: I do theatre. Even though everyone thinks people with disabilities can't, that is not true. 1:53 [Aurora] [In Spanish]: What can you say about Amazon? Well, that it is wonderful. 1:58 [Aurora] [In Spanish]: Hopefully, there will be many more companies like this. 2:01 [Christianne]: What is important is to think big. 2:03 [Christianne]: And you know, that you can realize everything that you think about because here, the goal is changing lives.
